It is my pleasure to welcome you here to St. Alphonsus Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community and it is my prayer that you will come to know personally the great blessing our parish is.

We have outstanding programs to help you grow in the knowledge of your faith. For those of you blessed to have children of school age please see the Religious Education Program on the right.
Baptism

Baptism is “the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments”. Our Parish offers a preparation process to all families planning a baptism here in order to help you better understand the sacrament and rite of Baptism and your parent role in the faith life of your child. First Reconciliation

Preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Penance) for the first time is an exciting time. It is a time for focus on God’s mercy, how we forgive among our family, friends, and community, and how we celebrate forgiveness. Preparation
First Eucharist

Preparing to receive Jesus through the Sacrament of the Eucharist is a time for focus on Jesus, faith, and family. Children of the parish who are in second grade and up are invited to begin the formal preparation to receive their First Eucharist. Preparation
Confirmation

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, we celebrate the completion of Baptismal grace and continue to lay the foundations of every Christian life that was begun in Baptism and continued in Eucharist. Confirmation gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to bear witness to Jesus Christ by word and deed. Preparation
Wedding

As you plan your wedding at St. Alphonsus or Holy Name, we remind you that this is a sacrament most unique: it is the only sacrament that you confer yourselves. The priest or deacon witnesses your vows and confers the Nuptial Blessing, but you are the true celebrants of the sacrament. And so, while your wedding is a joyous occasion for both your families, it is also a sacred moment for both of you and nothing should detract from the prayerful nature of your celebration. Contact the parish office at least 6 months before your desired wedding date.
Religious Vocations
